What to Expect |
|
Expect to have a most enjoyable cruise on a unique vessel as you travel through a harbor that is as picturesque as it is historic. Your ride is assured of being a smooth one due to the protected nature of Plymouth Harbor. Even on a breezy day the waters are smooth and comfortable! The
Pilgrim Belle is a true paddlewheeler. There is no conventional
propeller. The big red wheels on the back of the boat propel it, just
like they do on the mighty Mississippi! Relax and enjoy the calming
sound of the paddles as they swish through the water, leaving your
troubles in the wake behind. You may sit outside on the spacious sundeck
while sipping your favorite beverage, or enjoy the climate controlled
main salon & bar looking out into the spinning red wheels! The galley
features a variety of food and beverages, including cocktails for those
21 years or older. Ask the bartender about the Paddlewheel Punch!Plymouth Harbor is loaded with history, from the Pilgrim's fascinating story to the great shipwreck of the General Arnold. Our Captain will point out many sights of interest, including two lighthouses and Plymouth's spectacular beaches! Learn about the commercial fishing industry, including lobster fishing and its part in American history. You will be entertained with stories about everything from why the Pilgrims considered lobster "poor man's food" to the commercial fin-fishing industry. A cruise aboard the Pilgrim Belle is the perfect introduction to Plymouth and takes just over an hour. Departing daily from the Mayflower II State Pier, we are centrally located in the heart of Plymouth's waterfront. To avoid disappointment, call ahead to reserve your space at 508-747-3434. We look forward to saying "Welcome Aboard!" |
